V pondělí 20.11. si jezdci vylosovali techniku, tzn. motor a podvozek jednotné značky, a začala konečná úprava motokár.
Petr Fulín měl v jedné kvalifikaci nezaviněnou kolizi a s výsledky 15, 12 a 25 do předfinále přímo nepostoupil.

Great result of Jiří Forman at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in Al Ain !
The MS KART Racing Team factory pilot Jiří Forman finished 7th in the Senior MAX class at the Rotax Grand Finals which was held on the Al Ain Raceway in the United Arab Emirates on 26th November 2011. Already in the qualification heats Jiri showed very professional and balanced performance and he managed to reach a great position in the final despite of an unexpected collision and the follow-up bent rear axle. His 7th place is in the competition of 72 pilots from 46 countries of the world a huge success ! (a detailed race report will follow)

Jiří Forman finished 5th at the CIK-FIA „U18“ World Championship in Sarno (IT)
The last round of the 2011 CIK-FIA "U18" World Championship and Academy Trophy was held on the track Sarno in Italy on the passed weekend (4-6th November). Our pilot Jiří Forman on MS KART reached a great success in the final race finishing on position 5 !!
Magnus Ruud Kjaer from Denmark got a nice 21st place.
Out of other drivers starting with MS KART, the Czech Petr Běžěl was not very lucky on the italian track and he unfortunately did qualified for the final as well as Evgeny Shershun from Russia. Gabriela Jílková and Barbora Štěpánová, both girl-pilots from Czech Republic, did not start in the 3rd and last round of the „U18“ WC at all.
The new 2011 "U18" World Champion became Graham Matthew from Great Britain on Zanardi.

MS KART Conquers The German Team Championship
When MSC Oberflockenbach won the German´s most popular long distance series called German Team Championship (GTC) last year, their MS KART chassis was barely known or seen by the public. Yet the following 2011 season, MS took the series by storm, becoming the product of choice for more of the half of the teams including this year´s GTC Trophy winners from Braunschweig Racing (32) and GTC Senior Masters from Messebau Racing II (65). Also, the GTC youngsters from Domus Vitalis can look back upon a quite successful season, finishing 3rd in the GTC Junior Trophy.
Within just 2 years, MS established itself successfully in German endurance karting, providing excellent performance and reliability even under extremely harsh and dynamic conditions. Claiming this year´s 2nd place in the 2011 GTC Constructor´s Cup, MS also sends out a signal for next year.

Red Line Oil Karting Championship Round #6 Recap

Round #6 of the Red Line Oil Karting Championship was set to see some fast racing on the Reverse National track layout.
Senior Rotax
With a strong ten kart field, Senior Rotax produced the most competitive racing from top to bottom. In qualifying, Niki Luna took the pole ahead of Sean McDonald and an improving Jarrett Lile. In the first heat, Luna was challenged first by McDonald then by defending champ Carlos Calderon with Calderon overtaking Luna at mid-race. Near the end, Luna made the pass to take the lead and the win with Calderon and McDonald a half second back, Lile and Brody Zink another half second back. In the second heat, Luna again took the lead ahead of McDonald with Calderon getting by Lile to take third. Calderon then got by McDonald, but the two battled hard and which kept Calderon from challenging Luna. In the end, the results were the same as heat one for the first five places. In the main, Luna was on pole with Calderon next to him on the front row. As the field went into turn one, the inside line of Luna, McDonald and Zink swept into the first three positions with Calderon and Lile hung out to dry on the outside line. Calderon ended up in fifth and Lile in ninth. McDonald's race ended on the first lap when a rear wheel came off. Luna and Zink then opened up a small gap on the field and started their own private battle for the lead. Right behind the leading duo, the racing got heated with Calderon taking third only to get passed by Andrew Colombini. On the very next corner, Calderon tried to out brake Colombini causing contact and sending both karts flying off the track. Matt Meech took over third with a recovered Lile up to fourth. Meech then pulled off with a disconnected fuel line and Lile assumed a comfortable third place. In end, Zink stayed right on Luna's tail, but could not find a place to make a clean pass. Luna thus came home first, Zink in his first senior class race took second and the fastest lap, Lile in third with his best finish in Senior Rotax, Josh Feiber fourth and Tazio Otis fifth.

2nd race of the CIK-FIA „U18“ World Championship in Essay / France
The 2nd round of the U18 World Championship was held in Essay / France on 26 – 28th August 2011. The MS KART make was represented there by all 6 pilots: Jiří Forman, Petr Běžel, Gabriela Jílková and Bára Štěpánová from Czech Republic, Evgeny Shershun from Russia and Magnus Ruud Kjaer from Denmark.
In the time practice on Satturday morning the best result from our pilots made Jirka Forman – 10th position out of 74 drivers. Petr Běžel finished 13th, Gabriela Jílková 18th, Magnus Ruud Kjaer 33rd, Barbora Štěpánová 65th and Evgeny Shershun 67th. The fastest one was the Dutch driver Dave Blom.
The race went on with qualification heats where Gabriela Jílková reached the best position on MS KART. She placed on the 12th position after she finished in the individual heats as follows: 4, 5, 9 and 6. Our biggest favourite Jirka Forman was very fast but becasue of an unlucky first heat he made the total 16th place only. His results were: 25, 2, 3, 3. Petr Běžel finished on place 19. He was also very fast but the same as Jirka he did not succeed in the fisrt heat: 25, 2, 4, 4. Magnus Ruud Kjaer finished on place 45, Evgeny Shershun 59 and Barbora Štěpánová 66. Jílková, Forman and Běžel qualified for the prefinal.
Jirka Forman had a good start in the prefinal and took a good position but after that a german driver behind of him knocked him out in a brutal way. The incident was realy nasty and Jirka was lucky that he did not get injured. However, he had to start from the back in the final. Immediatelly after the start there was a big colision which Jirka tried to avoid but during driving through a narrow place he bumped with his rear wheel into some of the karts and bent the rear axle. So, the final finished for him...
The best result out of our drivers finally made Gabriela Jílková, who finished on the 16th place. But it was not an easy race for her as well. After the colision on the start of he final heat she drove quite well together with Petr Běžel. Petr managed to drive up to the 12th and Gabriela was directly behind him. But in the half of the race both of them dropped back to the end of the racing grid. Then both drove forward again and raced around 16th place. In the last round Petr dropped back once again and finally finished on position 21st. Only Gabriela stayed on place 16.
The winner was the Dutch pilot Anthoine Hubert.

Hi Milena,
These pictures are from 2011 Kartmania Honda Challenge at Rowrah. Kart 43 Steven Welsh MS Lucas Racing won 2 heats and the Final with a 2nd in the outstanding heat. Although provisional, we believe that this means that he has secured the Championship with one round still to go.
Howard Lucas has continued with his winning ways even though the opposition was closer this round than they have been in the past.
The 7 karts of Michael Kew and Adam Saunders posting fastest laps in the heats. However, in the Final 4 of the top 5 karts were MS.

Round 3 of the CIK-FIA European Superkart Championship, August 5-7th 2011 Assen / Holland
The third and last round of the European Superkart Championship was held at the track Assen in Holland in the days 5 – 7th of August 2011. It was a part of a rich programme of the Gamma Racing Day which visited nearly 100.000 spectators ! The atmosphere on the track was really fantastic !
The course of the whole race was characterized by really high speed in both qualifacations as well as in the final heats. Our MS Superkart Racing Team was represented by both factory pilots – the Czech Adam Kout, who was after the first two EC round on position 6, and Marko Laine from Finland. Both of them starting of course with MS KART / VM. In total there were 40 pilots on the starting grid, 9 of them on MS KART chassis. For this event we have prepared a new VM engine for Adam with new cylinders and crank shaft which showed a very good performance during the first tests on the dino (almost 4 HP more then the current engine). Unfortunatelly, even the new engine became the source of numerous problems and we did not manage to make a correct tuning. We were constantly struggled with high detonations. Adam finished neither the free practice nor the first qualification. In the second qualification we had to change the engine for the one we have used before this event and finally Adam managed to set the 5th fastest lap time. Unfortunatelly, the times run by all the drivers in the second qualification were on average by 4,5 sec slower then in the first qualification 1 day before so in total Adam´s 5th time on that day was the 12th fastest lap time in total. Anyway, after all the problems we were fighting with before we were satisfied with that result. Marko Laine took the 23th position. From all the MS KART drivers the fastest one in the time practice was Peter Elkmann (MS Kart/ DEA) on place 10. Though, he was not even satisfied with this result because his ambitions in the last EC round pointed up to the highest places. However, he managed to get there: with an excellent drive from position 10 on the start he went forward up to the third place and reached the podium in the first final ! Adam had to retire the first race 4 laps to go from position 10 because of an engine failure, Marko Laine finished on place 19. Mark Verhaar (MS Kart / VM) from the Dutch race team of Jan Cramer passed the finish line on place 24.
The second race was in the sign of a battle for getting the European Champion title between Emmanuel Vinnuales from France, who was the winner of race 1, and the Englishman Gavin Bennett. The 2011 European Champion became Vinnuales, who by a tactical drive overtook Bennett at the end of the race and got the victory. A great drive was shown by Peter Elkmann again but unfortunatelly Peter had to retire from 3rd position because of DEA engine troubles which he fighted with for the whole course of the champiobnship.
Before the start of race 2 it rained a little so the track was not completely dry in the first two laps. Adam Kout took advantage of the track condition and managed to get from place 12 up to position 6 during the first lap. However, after the problems in race 1 his engine did not provide the maximum performance anymore and Adam went back step by step to place 11. It was a big pity because in the last race every point would have been useful for the final championship standings. Finally, 5 points from this round made together with five previous rounds 40 points and 9th place in the total ranking of the 2011 European Championship. Peter Elkmann finished in front of Adam on position 8 with 41 points.
On place 13 and 14 of race 2 there finished two Dutch drivers of Jan Cramer´s team: Romano de Ruit and Priscilla Speelmann, both on MS KART/VM. Marko Laine got the 18. position and Thomas Urhofer from Austria on MS made place 21.
In this season our MS Superkart Racing Team will partecipate in one more event which will be the ISS on the 22nd October also in Assen. Both Adam and Marko will fight for a good ranking in the final standings of this championship. Marko is currently on place 2 and Adam on place 4.
Now, we are all in suspense of the new VM engine comming out in 2012 which should help us to make our Superkarts competitive at the highest level of the European Championship.

Chief of the MS Superkart Racing Team

MS KART won the 24 hours race in Le Mans !
Hello karters,
well, excellent trip to Le Mans last weekend for the high-light of our karting year - the 24-hour race at the "Circuit Alain Prost" Howard's team won - you have to be called "Steven" to race or crew on that team...... Alpha/AJB were second, also on an MS chassis and were challenging kart 43 very hard until they lost a chain and dropped back. Racing for Holland were third on a kart and kit they rented from Howard !
Autotec were fourth - Jamie, Lee and the two Joe's run by Jeff Johnson.
Fifth place and first in Clubman were GKD-Balmforth, run by Mike Thoms, doing his Ross Brawn impressions on the pit-wall, drivers were three youngsters, (Mark Brown and Tim Oliver who race at Warden Law, Howard's son Connor), and one old codger - we should run a "Seniors" team next year !
Sixth was the "Offline" team, who ran as "Snatch" last year, another kart rented from Howard ! Stretton were 7th, another MS team.
Tom and Mick McDonald were 8th, with Karl North from SAS and Sam Tugwell on the team, great recovery after a challenging start !
Other teams from Three Sisters included Format - Dave Heath, racing with Brian from Pitlane 2000 and Rhauri and Mark from "Controlled" and Blackflea - Tony and Tibbsy drafting in Rob Quinn from Roch Valley and Mark from SAS.
Jim White has posted some pictures on-line at >>>
Final results are still up at >>> at the moment.
Don't forget next race at Wigan on Tuesday 19th, on the full circuit again. British GP this weekend, let's hope McLaren can find a bit of pace to challenge the Red Bulls ! a wet race might give Lewis and Jenson a chance !!

Hallo Milena,

Velké problémy a smůla provázely nejrychlejšího muže závodu, německého pilota Petera Elkmanna s podvozkem MS KART a motorem DEA. Z Magny Cours tedy bohužel odjel bez bodu do celkového hodnocení….
Z celkového počtu 44 jezdců startovalo 9 s podvozkem MS KART a 6 s motorem VM.
Další 2 závody Mistrovství Evropy Superkartů se pojedou 11. - 12. června v České republice na okruhu v Mostě.

International Superkart Series – Oschersleben

On 8-9th May 2011 there took place the second race of the International Superkart Series at the Motorsport Arena in Oschersleben/Germany. Our MS KART Racing Team was represented by our 2011 Superkart factory pilots, Adam Kout / CZ and Marko Laine/FI – both with MS KART chassis and VM engines.
In the qualification training on Saturday Adam made the 2nd fastets lap time and Marko finished 4th. The winner of the time practice was Jürgen Reinke from Germany, the 3rd position belonged to Priscilla Speelman from Holland (MS KART/VM) and the 5th fastest was an other Duch pilot Mark Verhaar (MS KART/VM).
The result of the 1st final heat meant historic success to our makes MS KART and VM: after the race favorite Reinke stopped in the 5th lap our driver Adam Kout took over leadership and won the race with no problems. His team colleague Marko Laine finished 2nd and the 3rd place got Mark Verhaar so the first three Superkart crossing the finish line were MS KARTs with VM engines !!!
On the starting grid of the 2nd final heat everybody was awaiting a duel between Reinke and Adam Kout but unfortunatelly Adam did not have a perfect start and when he managed to shorten the jump of the German pilot driving ahead of him he had to stop in 8th round because of an engine trouble. Marko Laine finished 3rd behind the winner Reinke and Priscillou Speelmann (MS KART/VM).
The next Superkart race will be the 1st round of the CIK-FIA European Championship in Magny Course / France on 15-16th May.

Rotax MAX Euro Challenge Genk, Belgium
On the 2nd and 3rd of April 2011 there took place the first race of ROTAX MAX EURO CHALLENGE in Genk/Belgium. According to the entered drivers it was clear in advance that this race event will be the biggest race ever in the whole history of RMC as regards the number of pilots as well as the quality of them and their teams. It prooves that the organisation of RMC is really perfect and Ratox is becoming even more popular in Europe and in the whole world.
Totally 7 drivers from Czech Republic entered the first 2011 RMC race which is also the highest number until now showing that Rotax class is growing also in our country.
Our MS KART Racing Team was represented by Jiří Forman, Kateřina Žůrková and Vladislav Kurakin (RU) in the Senior class and Petr Fulín in Juniors. We arrived in Genk already some days before the event started in order to be able to test on the track at the week-end prior the race because it is the best way to train. .
On Wednesday morning the free practices started and everything culminated on Friday in the the time practice. Jirka Forman drove really well and made the 4th fastest lap time outr of 90 drivers ! The results of other MS drivers were: 52. Vladislav Kurakin 79. Katka Žůrková and 41. Petr Fulín in Junior MAX. After that the drivers were devided into groups a the individual classifficcation heats started. The best results were managed by Jirka Forman again who made 4.,5., 2. and 1. place. Unfortunatelly Jirka was disqualified in the first heat because his chain guard came off so he scored 38 penalty points. As a result of this he finished on place 20 only after the qualification heats. All the other drivers did not so well: Vladislav Kurakin 14.,15., 25. and a disqualification for an illegal contact on the track – totally 58th place. Katka Žůrková: 31., 32., 27. and 18. In total place 71. Katka had bad luck all the week. She had a good start in three qualification heats but because of a collision she always finished at the back of the grid.
Petr Fulín did very well in Junior MAX. He drove ahead all the time and with results 10.,14. and 13. he started from place 18 in the pre-final.
It started to rain on Sunday morning and all the pre-final and final heats were driven on wett track. It rained really heavily at the start of the pre-final so it was very complicated to overtake. All the pilots drove on the inner track and it was almost impossible to overtake from outside. Petr Fulín managed to finish at nice 14th place in the pre-final but then he had back luck in the final: he turned after the start and so left on the last position with a big lost. Finally he finished on place 23. After two races of the RMC he is currently on place 19.
Jirka Forman was running his way ahead in both heats. He finished 15th in pre-final and thanks to a great achievement in the final he came through up to the 8th position ! In total classification of the RMC 2011 he is now on place 9.
The next race will take place in Wackersdorf on 25th – 29th May.

1st race of the Internatioanl Superkart Series (ISS) in Hockenheim
On 1st and 2nd April 2011 there took place the first race of the International Superkart Series in Hockenheim/Germany. This year our MS KART Racing Team is represented by 2 drivers in this king cathegory of karting sport of 250cc. Team´s number 1 is the Czech Adam Kout who finished 6th in the CIK/FIA 2010 European Championship. Together with Adam there is also the driver Marko Laine from Finnland. Both of them drive MS KART chassis and VM engine.
In Hockenheim Adam Kout was the fastest in the qualification in front of Fasberg from Denmark and the Dutch girl-pilot Priscilla Speelman. Marko had the 5th fastest lap time.
In the first final Adam Kout was leading for a long time but 3 laps to go he had to give up the pole position because of some problems with engine colling. The winner was Priscilla Speelman, 2nd place got Jürgen Reinke, Adam finished 3rd. The first three driver passed the finish line with minimum time difference but Adam was not able any more to overtake up to the pole position again. Marko Laine finished 4th, the 5th place belonged to the Dutch pilot Mark Verhaar. Except of Reinke with Anderson / Dea all the other 4 drivers of the top five drove MS KART and VM !
In the second final Adam managed to win without any problems in front of Reinke and Priscilla Speelman. Mark Verhaar finished 4th. Unfortunatelly, Marko Laine had to face some problems with overheated engine and sliding clutch and so finished on the 9th position.
The next race of the ISS will take place in Oschersleben on 7-8th May.

ROTAX WINTER CUP 2011 – Campillos, Španělsko 9. - 13. 2. 2011
Technika fungovala skvěle a Jirka předváděl bravurní jízdu.
S výsledky a hlavně dobře fungující technikou jsme byli nakonec velmi spokojeni.

The chassis MS KART Prokart, which is made both for endurance races and for sprints, has been supplied with success to the UK for many years and since 2010 it has become very popular also in Germany in the GTC Serie (German Team Championship). The GTC organisator represented Mr. Frank Jelinki from the company Aktiv-Events Motorsport GmbH, had its stand in Offenbach directly beside our MS KART stand (more info at: www.race-report.de ).
Big attention of visitors was also attracted by the 250ccm kart MS Superkart with twin cylinder engine VM which was raced very successfully by the Czech pilot Adam Kout from our MS Superkart racing Team in the last season 2010.
In the KZ class there will be driving with the MS KART RZF29 chassis in 2011 again our contract driver from Sweden Filip Gudmundsson (on the picture lower), namely in the Swedish race events as well as in the German Championship.
Our RZF/KZ chassis complete with MEGA engine (65 PS, 2-stroke, water cooled) was also presented in the nice stand of the company Rübig from Austria. We have been cooperating with Rübig on the chassis development for their MEGA engine since 2008 and we are happy that they showed the MS-MEGA equipment in Offenbach as well (for more info about the MEGA engine click here www.mega-kart.com).
